About
About Me
Sports have always been incredibly important to me. I was a competitive gymnast for many years and also competed in diving, played softball, basketball, track and field, soccer, and learned to horseback ride as a young athlete. As an adult and Mom I continue to prioritize movement and be involved in community sports.
I completed my Masters of Counselling in 2015 and began working with children and parents as a therapist in 2018. I have experience and training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sandtray Therapy, the Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood (DC: 0-5), and the Incredible Years Parenting Program.
I also have a broad depth of experience in sports- after my competitive career ended in gymnastics I gained my level 3 certification with the National Coaching Certification Program in Canada. I attended Western and National Championships with athletes across Canada as an Alberta team coach representative. I have experience working with non-profit businesses as well as provincial sport organizations. I am now a sports Mom and involved in community sports organizations.
